Nikon or Canon?
I’ve always been quite a fan of Nikon equipment . In the first place to the robustness and reliability. In addition, of course, because of the good optical performance , in particular, of the lenses. The Nikon’s never let me down (at least that is true for the D300 and D70 even they are full of electronics). Yet I have chosen in October 2010 for a full-frame Canon camera ( Canon 5d mark ii ). But am in September 2012, I returned to my old love Nikon. Using two systems is of course not ideal and Nikon came in the spring of 2012 it has got a very attractive model for landscape photographers, the Nikon D800E. A beast of the camera , which unfortunately already has had the necessary failures. Apparently I had a Monday morning model. As a second camera I bought a Nikon D7000 (DX) in 2014 .
In all this a relativistic motto that you should keep in mind:
“Most equipment is better than its photographer”
So, do not dream too long about nice equipment, but go for it (regardless your equipment).
On this page a list of equipment that I have experience with.
